Louise Lemieux-Bérubé PDF

Louise Lemieux Bérubé was born in Montreal, Quebec. She is recognized as a pioneer through her innovative use of Jacquard techniques in weaving. Bérubé graduated in Art History from the Université du Québec in Montreal. She studied Jacquard weaving in the United States at the Rhode Island School of Design as well as in France with Olivier Masson and François Roussel, the inventors the Pointcarré software program.

Louise Lemieux Bérubé has exhibited her work across Canada and the United States as well as in Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, China, Korea, Argentina, China and Spain. Examples of her work are to be found exhibited in many public collections such as at the Canadian Embassy in London, the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin, the Place des Arts in Montreal, the Loto Québec offices, the City Hall in Ville Lasalle, the Manuel Beth Shalom Temple in Westmount, as well as in numerous private collections.
